How the film works
DYNOtop is clear TPU film applied to the windshield’s exterior. Its flexible layer helps absorb impacts and reduce chip and crack risk. Its surface also repels water. It is separate from interior window tint.
An extra layer of protection
DYNOtop helps protect the glass, but no film can prevent every chip, crack, or break. The film warranty does not cover windshield repair or replacement from impact damage.
30 Day Warranty
STEK provides manufacturing-defect coverage for the first 30 days after installation. Eligible failures include loss of adhesion, peeling, bubbles, blisters, separation of layers, and other manufacturing defects.
STEK’s exact exclusion:
DYNOtop is not warrantied against wear and tear from rock chips, windshield wipers, or common use.
What this means: the warranty covers qualifying manufacturing defects, rather than damage or wear from driving and wiper use. It does not include windshield repair or replacement for impact damage.
Is it suitable for daily driving?
STEK does not recommend DYNOtop for daily driving. Some drivers still choose it for the added protection it can provide for their windshields. Daily use and frequent wiper operation can wear the film, and some visible texture or waviness may be noticeable.
DYNOtop has been on the market for several years. Many of our customers enjoy the added peace of mind and choose it for vehicles they drive daily. In our shop experience, we have seen customers enjoy their film for around a year. This is an observation, not a promised average lifespan or an extension of the warranty; results vary with driving conditions and care.
Keep it clean. Keep it clear.
- Keep the film and wiper blades clean, and use washer fluid before wiping a dry windshield.
- Use a soft microfiber towel and a film-compatible, non-ammonia cleaner.
- Use your defroster to clear ice before operating the wipers, and avoid scraping the film.
- Follow the care instructions we provide, and contact us with any questions.
Always use your wipers when needed for clear, safe visibility.
Refreshing your windshield protection
DYNOtop is a replaceable protective layer. Its lifespan depends on your driving conditions, wiper use, and care. When it is time for a refresh, a new installation lets you continue protecting your windshield.
A friendly note about replacement: If the film becomes worn, damaged, or deteriorates through use, you will need to purchase a new windshield protection installation. Charges also apply to remove the old film. Qualifying manufacturing-defect claims remain subject to STEK’s 30-day warranty.
