What SunTek window film helps with

Benefits vary by series and shade. These are the practical reasons drivers choose the films listed on this page.

UV • UVA • UVB

UV exposure

Published specifications show 99% or greater UV protection over 300–380 nm. That tested range includes part of UVB and most UVA, but it is not a claim covering every UVA and UVB wavelength.

Comfort

Solar heat

Helps reduce solar energy entering through automotive glass so the cabin can feel more comfortable in strong Colorado sun.

Visibility

Harsh glare

Selected shades reduce bright visible light and glare. Darker film generally reduces more glare, while legal limits and nighttime visibility still matter.

Interior care

Premature fading

Helps reduce UV, visible light and solar heat—major contributors to fading and deterioration. No window film can completely stop fading.

Style

Privacy and appearance

Choose from lighter, factory-like looks to darker privacy shades, depending on the product, vehicle glass and applicable Colorado law.

Daily use

Clear connectivity

Many ceramic, carbon and other non-metal choices are designed to avoid interference with phones, GPS, satellite radio and other vehicle electronics.

UV clarification: UV is the broader category that includes UVA and UVB. We use separate UVA/UVB wording only when the manufacturer explicitly supports it. Window film helps reduce exposure but does not prevent skin cancer or replace comprehensive sun protection.

VLT means visible-light transmission. A lower percentage generally looks darker, while a higher percentage generally looks lighter. The final appearance also depends on your vehicle’s factory glass.

Straight answers

SunTek tint FAQs

Which SunTek film is the best choice?

Evolve is the performance-first option in this page’s lineup, but the best film depends on desired shade, glass, budget, and whether maximum solar control or a specific appearance matters most.

Does darker tint always reject more heat?

No. VLT describes visible light, while TSER describes total solar energy rejected. Advanced lighter films can outperform darker entry-level films. Compare the same metric and glass basis.

Will the film block UV?

The listed products publish 99% or greater UV rejection/protection, depending on the exact series. Film is not a substitute for comprehensive sun protection.

Is every shade legal in Colorado?

No. Permitted darkness and placement depend on the vehicle and window. Colorado Auto Tint will help select an appropriate option, but vehicle owners remain responsible for legal compliance.

What does the warranty cover?

Manufacturer’s limited warranty; Carbon and CXP are advertised with limited lifetime coverage against color change and more. Restrictions apply. Your invoice and manufacturer warranty documentation control the final coverage.
