Truck Topper Tinting Information
We professionally tint truck toppers and camper shells, but these windows often require more custom work than standard vehicle glass.
Topper tinting is custom work. Rubber seals, screens, glass shape, and limited access can affect the finished edge, price, and installation time.
What makes topper windows different?
Rubber seals
Some seals overlap the glass edge. A small portion of the inner rubber may need careful trimming to avoid a visible light gap and allow the film to sit correctly.
Masked-style glass
Windows with black painted borders may not require seal trimming because the border can conceal the film edge.
Interior screens
Screens, frames, and limited access can increase the preparation and installation time.
Custom cutting
Pre-cut tint patterns are generally not available for toppers, so each window is treated as a custom installation.
Timing and estimated cost
Depending on the topper design, number of windows, selected film, and access to the glass, installation can take multiple days. Complete topper tinting is a custom project and typically starts around $1,500.
